"Being Green" Small Changes - Big Business Benefits

Dick Sawbridge of the TV programme “Its Not Easy Being Green” was the guest speaker at the Truro College’s Cornwall Business Club event on Wednesday 23rd April. Over 150 business representatives from all over Cornwall attended to listen to this witty presentation on ‘how to save money’ and ‘be green’ at the same time.

Tutor of the Year Commendation for Truro College Tutor

Truro College Business Centre tutor Patricia Archer received a highly commended commemorative prize from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) in the Tutor of the Year category. The prize, awarded at a ceremony held in the New Armouries Suite at the Tower of London on the 17th April 2008, recognised Trish’s work over the past eight years bringing huge benefits to students, fellow tutors and Truro College as a whole.

Truro College Business Centre hosted a lunch at The Alverton Manor Hotel on Wednesday 14th November to celebrate the success of their Empower Project. The event coincided with Women's Enterprise Day which aims to inspire women. Truro College Business Centre, through the Empower Project, has helped turn these inspirations into reality.

MP Talks on Convergence

Mark Prisk MP, Shadow Minister for Business & Enterprise gave an inspiring speech on “What’s in Convergence for Cornwall” to over 100 business people at the Cornwall Business Club, organised by Truro College Business Centre and held on the 24th October 2007.
